Hi, my name is Ryan, I’ll answer to most things, but Ryan was what my mum called me. I’m a local lad (to the Isle of Wight) who grew up in East Cowes.
I moved away and off the island as I turned 16. Started my Army career and served at war, in three different hot and cold environments, spending just over 3 years in war zones alone. I spent just over 6 years in the dog handling/ training regiment, handling, and training in some of the toughest environments… but 12 years in total had me leaving in 2015. I started Ry’s Dog Training and haven’t looked back since.
Before this I’d never known anything about self-employment or even anything business related. I have had to learn on my feet whilst running after what seemed to be a moving bus. I am qualified, insured, experienced, balanced, moderated and choice style dog trainer.
My team is very similar in ethics, we are very proud and passionate of what we do. I have achieved so far, a great deal in such little time with a small, but Full-Time business.
We now have great building blocks to go forward and achieve much more… so continue to watch this space!! We’ve now got a team that are always building, learning, and thriving for what is next.
We have had recent developments at the dog centre that include the expansion of Ry’s Dog Day Care. The manager of Day Care is a lady called Alanna that I am very fond of, she holds down the other busy side of the business. I am sure you will get a chance to speak to her very soon.
We continue to grow here at Ry’s, we now have a team of 9 people who are all awesome at what they do. There isn’t a dog too small, too old, or too peculiar that I can’t help in some sort of way… even in the smallest of ways however there isn’t a time frame for dogs as they all learn at different speeds. We try to help the owner as well as the dog to understand what your dog is trying to tell you.
Being a dog owner myself, I’m sure Poppy is better known than any of us here at Ry’s, especially after her having a litter of puppies in 2019. We’d like to think that we know what you are wanting/ going through as a dog owner. It seems in the present day that there is a warped perception on what ‘balanced’ dog training is, therefore would like to try and help with changing that very misguided perception.
I’d like to take the time to thank the individuals that share, name drop, tag, nominate, refer, and talk about me or us or the business. THANKYOU!!
So please…get in touch, book in, an ensure that your dog is healthy, balanced, not running your house and you are not just blind feeding your dog for any old behaviour.
Thanks for reading my bio and look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the next Ry’s Big Social Meet!!!
